Alphane Zine

When Mellow Climbing and the North Face got together, they had one goal in mind: document the first ascent of “Alphane” a v17 boulder known to be one of the hardest climbs in the world. With a crew stacked full of world-class climbers and a talented media crew, it was important to immortalize their efforts in print. For this project I tried to keep the creative direction the film embodied: old school style meets new school energy. The fast-paced, choppy editing style inspired my digital glitch style, and the VHS motif tied the printed work to the feature film.
